Sigs Race to the Front in 57th Annual Purdue Grand Prix
Sigs Excel in Grand Prix 2014
Sigma Chi continues to excel in the annual Purdue Grand Prix go-kart race held at the end of the spring semester. The Sigs had two carts in the race driven by Greg Burns '14 and Alex Dexeus '15. Both completed the race with Greg’s cart finishing 4th, and Alex finishing 23rd.
One of My Favorite Memories
Greg commented, "Placing 4th in the Grand Prix this year was one of my favorite memories I have had so far at Purdue. Seeing all of the work my crew and I put in over the last several months was more rewarding than I can express. Grand Prix is one of the Purdue and Sigma Chi traditions that mean more to me than I ever expected them to. Beyond being an escape from school work, the team provides an opportunity to learn about engines, go karts, general mechanics, and teamwork. The team has proven to be competitive over the past few years and has the potential to take it to the next level next year."
