Betterment of Character, Campus, and Community
Our mission is to develop values-based leaders committed to the betterment of character, campus, and community. Each Sigma Chi brother is challenged to live up to these expectations through their daily actions at the fraternity, on campus, and in the community.
Through our 244 undergraduate chapters, 152 alumni chapters, and 350,000 all-time initiated members in the U.S. and Canada, we achieve these ideals through the practice of character qualities embodied in our Ritual. We continuously reaffirm our purpose by observing Sigma Chi’s Governing Laws, which empower and direct our leadership.
Leadership Development and Scholarship Support
Sigma Chi Fraternity provides its undergraduate members multiple opportunities to obtain leadership skills and gain experience through national and local activities. These programs include Horizons Leadership Training, Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop, Journey Chapter Retreat Program, and our Choices Alcohol and Drug Education program.
The Sigma Chi Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships annually to undergraduate and graduate brothers based on academic and leadership criteria.
Lifelong Commitment and Resources
Sigma Chi’s international headquarters provides ongoing support to all alumni brothers through its 126 alumni chapters and multiple resources dedicated to networking, recognition, and support for its members long after their collegiate experience has ended. Through these efforts, Sigma Chi builds an affinity for our Fraternity that lasts a lifetime.
