Sigs Meet in Indianapolis
Brothers of the Class of ’76 gathered in Indianapolis on October 9 – 10 to celebrate their 50th reunion. Hosted by Don Palmer ’76, the weekend of activities included golf, pickleball, dinner at Brother Palmer’s home, and brunch the next morning where all the brothers said their farewells.
Brothers Reflect on Past 50 Years
The reunion started with eight of the brothers enjoying lunch at the Meridian Hills Country Club on Friday afternoon. To rekindle some of the memories over the past 50 years, each of the brothers were given a chance to recount their years since leaving Purdue. According to Robert Haehl ’76, “The stories included a lot of ups and downs over the years (divorce and business failures), but also many, many successes. Going through it all it made us better men.” All the brothers shared the blessings of children and grandchildren and the joy of spending time with close friends.
Great Conversation and a Few Laughs
Later that evening at dinner hosted by Don, and his wife, Carolyn, at their home, the group shared long forgotten memories that made for great conversation and many a good laugh. Here’s to the Class of ’76, may they continue to live life to the fullest.
