In recognition of your outstanding career in the construction industry, where you began at the age of 14 as a carpenter’s apprentice with the G.L. Tarlton Contracting Company, and progressed to build the Tarlton Corporation in an award-winning industry leader in the St. Louis area, while serving as longtime President and now as Chairman. In tribute to your notable community service, including your work with the Boy Scouts of America, the William Greenleaf Eliot Society of Washington University, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Regional Commerce and Growth Association, the St. Louis Art Museum, the St. Louis Zoo, and your role as Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
