Krach ‘79 Sworn in as Under Secretary of State

Sigs from around the country joined Keith Krach at his swearing in ceremony. Delta Delta brothers in attendance were Marc Carlson, Robert Holloway, Carter Krach, Clarke McAllister and Steve Schmidt.

With his family and a large contingent of Sigma Chi brothers and business associates present Keith Krach ’79 was sworn in on September 16, 2019, as Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment.  The ceremony took place in the Jefferson Room on the 8th floor of the State Department and was officiated by Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan.

Keith commented following the swearing in, “It is an incredible honor to be formally welcomed into the federal government as the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment on Monday by top United States officials.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my family and the hundreds of friends and business associates who joined us for this special event. I and the entire “E Team” are inspired to accept Secretary Pompeo’s challenge to us to develop and execute a proactive global strategy for economic diplomacy that is an extension of our National Security Strategy Platform.”
