Undergrads Seeking Alumni Support for Mission Trip

Fifteen Delta Delta brothers will be spending a week in May serving in Brownsville, Texas as part of a trip arranged by Encuentro Missions.

The Sigs, who are organized by Charlie Healy ’23 and David Kratzman ’21, will be building housing and aiding in the construction of a community center for the people of Brownsville. Additionally, our team of Delta Delta brothers will be taking part in the area’s Vacation Bible School from May 15 through 22.

Encuentro Mission Group on a Recent Trip

Families living in Brownsville have had a constant struggle. The pandemic has worsened that struggle dramatically. There are people suffering within our own country and they need our help. In a 10×10 foot space there are often up to five families living. There is a dramatic demand for additional safe and clean housing as well as community spaces.

Alumni Financial Support Sought

Each brother taking part on this mission trip must raise $600. This covers food, local transportation, activities, housing, and building supplies. This does not include transportation costs to and from Brownsville.

We’d like to encourage our alumni to help us out in anyway they can.  Donations of $25, $50, $100, or more, would be a tremendous help.  All donations are tax-deductible and directions for financial contributions can be found below.
