Derby Days Events to Support Cancer Research

For the past three years Delta Delta through its Derby Day events has raised over $20,000 each year in support of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Sigma Chi’s international philanthropy.  Our contributions support a number of cancer research programs.  For more details go to Huntsman Cancer Research Programs.

Looking for New Ideas

In the COVID environment the chapter’s traditional fund-raising activities are not able to take place.  In their place the chapter is trying to raise money by holding a banner challenge with the sororities, car wash, campaigning for donations on social media, and asking local companies for sponsorships.

Seeking Delta Delta Alumni Support

The chapter is also encouraging our alumni brothers to take part in Derby Days by making a donation online directly to the Huntsman Challenge.  Many of us have been impacted by the devasting effects of cancer on our loved ones.  By supporting the efforts of the Huntsman Cancer Institute you can be a part of the battle to defeat this disease.
