Brother Quatmann remarked, “I am deeply honored to receive this Significant Sig award, particularly in light of the exemplary achievements of so many of my fellow Delta Delta alumni.  My Sigma Chi experience was truly the crucible that molded me into the person I am today.  There were so many life lessons built-into those years at 202 Littleton; but most importantly, I would not be where I am today if it was not for my brothers and especially my Delta Delta ’92 pledge brothers.  Over the years, we have always been there for each other, challenged and pushed each other, laughed together, cried together, and supported each other.  Any success or achievement of mine is truly a group accomplishment.”

Earlier Positions

Prior to his role at Caesars, he served as Chief Legal Officer for Eldorado Resorts from 2017, and previously served as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc.  from 2008-2001.  Ed also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for iPCS, Inc., a telecommunications company.

Prior to his leadership roles, he worked in the corporate and securities practice in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown LLP, where he represented the company as legal counsel in a variety of corporate transactions.

Ed is a 1992 graduate of Purdue University and received his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law.

Community and Charitable Involvement

In Ed’s leadership positions, he has played a key role in his company’s commitment to giving back to the community.  Ed is also responsible for managing Caesars charitable contributions and aligning them with their strategic initiatives to help organizations that help the aging population, organizations that focus on environmental and social responsibility, and organizations that assist with education, workforce development, and continuing education programs.

Ed has served on the board of directors for the Cancer Support Community in St. Louis, and the board of the Community School, where their mission is to foster the intellectual, emotional, and creative growth of young children.

Ed, his wife Courtney, and their five children (ages 15, 13, 10, 6, and 6) moved from St. Louis to Reno, Nevada, in 2017, when Ed took the position as Chief Legal Officer for Caesars Entertainment.  Ed splits time between Reno and Las Vegas.  Ed, Courtney, and their children are active in their community and find time as a family to enjoy the Sierra Nevada mountains lifestyle: snow skiing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, and boating on Lake Tahoe.

Congratulations, again, to Brother Quatmann ’92 for his many accomplishments in his chosen field of endeavor.
