Homecoming 2022 Brings Back Class of ’82
It was a beautiful early fall day with perfect temperatures and sunshine abounding that welcomed all the Purdue alumni back to West Lafayette on September 24, 2022. With a primetime kickoff (7:30pm), those returning had time to visit the Sig house and enjoy the picture-perfect day. It was nice to see the Sig alumni return and watch their kids throw a football in the front lawn. Many took the opportunity to tour the chapter house and a number attended the annual House Corporation meeting.
Special thanks to Butch Brose ’09, Jay Milligan and the undergrads for having the chapter house in tip top condition.
Class of 1982 Returns for 40th Reunion
An enthusiastic showing of the brothers (12/23) from the Class of 1982 returned for their 40th reunion at Purdue’s Homecoming.
Todd Kaminski ’82 who inspired his PB’s to return noted, “It was a great weekend for us. It started at the home of Guy and Marsha East in Westfield, IN on Friday night. We were able to recognize all who returned, even though we had gained weight, lost hair and grayed some!!
We ate Arni’s pizza and salad, drank beer, wine and whatever we could find. Following dinner we went out to the firepit and shared: name, current location of residence; career path and current status; family status (wife, children, grandchildren); favorite pledgeship, Sigma Chi or Purdue memory; biggest career/life accomplishments; and what’s next in life. At some point it started raining and we moved inside to continue the stories. The evening closed with a prayer about 11:30.
We reconvened Saturday afternoon at the house for photos, house tours and more stories of life at 202. We all concluded that it has been too long since we had shared such good times and we promised to stay connected from here on out.” Todd concluded, “We peaked as a class in pledgeship and hope to “RePeak” again at a future date with all of the Class of ’82 present.”
