Activity Room Gets Sports Bar Vibe

Over the holiday break the downstairs Activity Room received a makeover that now gives it more of a “sports bar” vibe.  The goal was to make this room more attractive for just hanging out.

A Great Spot to Watch Games

Five 27” TV monitors were added to the room along with new bar stools, a mini fridge and a shuffleboard table.  The old couches from the Great Hall were moved downstairs to add more seating. Purdue and Sigma Chi signs and sports memorabilia also will add to the atmosphere of the updated room.

To give the room a fresh look, Jay Milligan stripped the floor and gave it four coats of sealer and two coats of finish wax.

Consul Mitchell Rittman ’26 stated, “This gives us a great space for the brothers to hang out and watch Purdue and NCAA basketball games.  We want to thank House Corp President Tom Hall for helping us upgrade the Activity Room, and Jay for overseeing this project.”
