Chapter Welcomes Class of ’28
Introducing the Class of 2028
Thirty new brothers entered the ranks of Sigma Chi on November 8 following the completion of their 5-week pledge program led by Magister Kevin McCarthy ’25. Twenty members of this class hail from Indiana from Goshen to Charleston. Four are from California, two from Tennessee, and one each from Wisconsin, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
This year’s Preparation for Brotherhood pledgeship was enhanced by weekly discussions with different alumni. Alumni talks expanded on the different Sigma Chi values that are discussed during pledgeship. Alumni participants were Brian Griffiths ’95, Dave Woodruff ’99, Gunter Haines ’95, Bryce Brumm ’96 and Phil Steele ’77.
This year’s Initiation ceremony was extremely well done. All the participants were well prepared. Credit goes to Kustos Krue Nagel ’27, Magister Kevin McCarthy ’25 and Consul Mitchell Rittman ’26 for coordinating all aspects of Initiation.
